With the Ottomans slowly reaching the Arabian Peninsular border, the newly founded nation of Arabia was certain it would fall into the hands of the treacherous Ottomans once again. Almost immediately, militia units began to spring up from all over the empire, and began to rally outside of Riyadh, utilizing a series of trenches and high ground to rain artillery and mortars on the advancing Ottomans. OOC: So your cavalry inspired the men SO much that they travelled from Istanbul to Riyadh in less than a day? Nice logistics you got there. This is NOT the pace of WW1 style combat AT ALL.

OOC: When did I say they came from Istanbul? They were the invasion force that came to the Arabian boarder. They inspired the men that were getting their asses handed to them. Lets re do this already!

OOC: It would take weeks in itself to even MOBILIZE an army to march across the damn desert.

Official Decree, Its amazing that this invasion is even allowed to advance more than 20 miles at this point, you would lose many men in the harsh arabian desert before even reaching half way to riyadh, this advance was not one that took place historicaly for this reason. The prize wich lay in Arabia was important, but only through a large logistical advance in wich your worst enemy is heat, dehydration, and moral. You would reach Riyadh maybe 3-4 weeks after begining the march, now you may choose to adequetly prepare your men for this advance, or you can send your men into the desert aimlessly and lose many men like every other army who set out into the desert unprepared for what awaited, roll the dice, and see what happens.
Official decree has ended but your men have not reached riyadh and are in no way close to it. Thank you for your time.

OOC: Oy. China gives a persuasive argument. I'll take some time to prepare my men. [3 weeks] and move my men into the desert [4 weeks]. Then move them into position. [1 week]. Then begin the long anticipated battle.
IC: Them men needed to be ready for the desert. They stocked up on water and food. The would march into the desert and hopefully not lose most of their men before the actual battle. They would travel by day and make camp by night.
OOC: Note they did not begin their journey. That will begin the day after tomorrow. Sorry if I was a bit over zealous in the invasion.

Arabian men began to be supported by logistics, and despite the scorching Arabian heat knew they had time to relax and prepare their strategy for the impending battle.
