General Rules
1.) Time
The timeline/technology is the early 20th century [begins in 1914] and it will remain so for the ENTIRE roleplay, meaning that although years will advance, technology will not. Leaders and people can die, but only at your disposal. We will always be in WW1 mode, and never leave it or enter WW2 or the Depression, etc. 1 day in RL = 1 week in WTEAW.
2.) Technology
Technology will NEVER advance, even if we get to year 2400 - we will still have bolt action rifles, bi-planes, mortars, and other stuff like that. You can develop new technology in the present era, however; see the Military Central board for examples and details.
3.) Population and Economy
Your population is determined Here and must be accurate to 1914 or around the time period.
4.) Military
Keep it between 0 and 7%. Any higher and you will be notified and be forced to edit. You almost also take into account the loyalty of your provinces and territory. For instance, it would be probable for Serbia or Bulgaria to have a 5% In-service and 2% reserve format because the nations populace are very patriotic and proud of their Slavic nations.
However, it would not make sense for Britain to include the population of Egypt and its colonies into its military due to the fact that those provinces are military occupied and very few colonial civilians would actually join an oppressive government.
Please note that having a 7% military for a rather large nation may result in a depression.
5.) Invasions and Wars
It is perfectly fine to attack an unclaimed nation in this RP. We wish for you to invade nations that would be deemed not so important to some new comers, however we won't have a limit on who you can invade and how many nations you may invade. For nation vs. NPC nation wars, we will stick with the old format of Player posts, NPC player posts casualties, NPC player posts, player posts casualties.
However, for player versus player wars, we will use the ZW Dice System. Click here to view how it works.
6.) Ignoring
Under no circumstances is one nation allowed to ignore an attack from another nation. Any nation that is ignoring will be given a warning. A second offense and you will be deleted. Even if an RP is terrible, then PM a mod and we will take appropriate action from there.
7.) Registering a Nation
If you are registering a nation under control from another, you must either gain independence or to say lightly become a protectorate. If you aren't any of these, you can register as a fine independent nation.
Once you register, you may go to profile and change to your formal name by entering it in "Display Name". Go to the bottom, then hit submit.
After this is done, set up a complete military organization and factbook and you will be added to the map and granted the ability to participate in the roleplay.
Military Organization/Factbook
Standard military organization is a must, and a full ORBAT of information per military unit in a nation and where the unit is stationed is REQUIRED.
Remember, your military can only be a maximum of 7% of your total population.
A well rounded army is best. After you take a state, region, or country add its population to yours and you may adjust your military accordingly.
Furthermore, a factbook of your nation is required as well, which must list your total population, flag and government leaders.
Loss Policy
Should you take a substantial amount of losses in a group of units that is invading a nation, you must wait up to 8 - 24 days in real time to replenish your strength, depending on how heavy your losses. Material such as heavy machinery depends on the nation's industrial power, and may take even longer, up to 4 - 36 days, depending on its losses. Use your own judgement, and BE FAIR.
Inactivity Policy
If you can't post at least 5 times a day, don't join.
Etquiette
1.) No racial remarks. A warning will be given for the first offense, a second and you will be removed from posting in the General Discussion board, and a third will result in an instant deletion of your nation and all of its territorial posessions [besides protectorates, which will be then granted independence or will be given a chance to take over the country's current government].
2.) No insults. If a thread containing insults is examined by moderators and deemed inhumane, it will recieve deletion [if in the General Discussion board] and each Nation will be warned.
3.) Please, act like gentlemen. We are all human beings, and be sure to respect others privacy and rights that not only their nations grant but that they are ensured as inhabitants of one Earth, and of one race.
Language and Grammar
Type with correct capitalization, spelling and grammar at all times. Don't type like a total retard.
Necessity
No nations are allowed to roleplay unless a complete factbook and military have been set up.
